We’re Only Human

By Sue Voyles / September 12, 2016 / ,

It’s been said: To err is human. In fact, there was even a song from the 1980s titled, “I’m only human” by a band called The Human League, no less.

Well, it turns out, we’re only human.

Some of you looking at last month’s newsletter on your mobile device noticed that the photo was turned sideways. It looked fine on the computer, but we goofed by only proofing it on our computer and not on our phone and tablet.

Lesson learned – all communications must be mobile-responsive and double —  dare I say — even triple checked! It’s not only a lesson for our team, but for all of us who are communicating in this non-stop, always-on, hyper-communicating world.

If nothing else, we’ve learned in the last few years that one slip-up on social media these days could place your business or brand in jeopardy. Crisis communications must go into gear ASAP. We hope your crisis communications plan is completely tuned up and ready to shift into overdrive. We can help.

By the way, here’s the rest of the quote: To err is human; to forgive divine.

And for those of you who let us know about our error in an ever-so-kind way, thank you. We promise to do better.
