Hooray for Our Clients

By Sue Voyles / October 31, 2016 / ,

You may not know this, but one task that PR agencies often complete is writing award nominations for clients (and often, finding those awards that are a good fit for the client’s business).

In my blog, It’s Good to be Recognized, and Five Cost-Free Marketing Ideas, I wrote about the value of recognition through awards – for both our clients and our firm.

We’ve been writing award nominations for clients since 2003. In the years since, they have been honored with a variety of awards, including Crain’s Cool Places to Work, Metropolitan Detroit’s 101 Best and Brightest Companies to Work For, Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Finalist, Inc. 500/5000, Michigan 50 Companies to Watch, Crain’s 40 under 40, dBusiness 30 in their 30s, Corp! magazine Economic Bright Spots, Alfred P. Sloan Awards for Business Excellence in Workplace Flexibility, NAWBO Top 10 Michigan Business Women and more.

While 2016 still has a few months left, I’d like to say congratulations to our clients who have been recognized with various awards this year. Our team wrote several of the award nominations that led to these achievements:

Bavarian Inn – Judy Zehnder Keller, president Bavarian Inn Lodge, 2016 Women of Achievement Award Great Lakes Bay YWCA; Bavarian Inn Restaurant and Bavarian Inn Lodge 2016 Michigan Works! Impact Award

EAM Consulting Group and  EAM Staffing & Recruiting – Erik Meier, president, 2016 Oakland County Executive’s Elite 40 Under 40 finalist; Brandon Malson, partner, Corp! magazine 2016 Most Valuable Millennial

Firebolt Group Inc. –  2016 Michigan 50 Companies to Watch

FOURMIDABLE  – Corp! magazine Michigan Salute to Diversity; Detroit Free Press Top Workplaces in Michigan

Kaftan Communities – Metro Detroit’s 2016 Best and Brightest Companies to Work For

National Gift Card Corp. – ngcEurope CEO Andrew Johnson, UK Gift Card and Voucher Association’s Lifetime Achievement Award and named to the organization’s Hall of Fame

Shelby Paint & Decorating – Brian Eisbrenner, president, dBusiness 30 in their 30s, Crain’s Detroit 40 under 40

Sonitrol Great Lakes – Mike Buckel, vice president, Corp! magazine Most Valuable Professional; Security Dealer Magazine (SDM) Top 100 security dealers

The Big Salad – Beth Bornoty, co-founder, Corp! magazine Most Valuable Professional

Is there an award you’d like to be recognized with in 2017? Let’s talk and find if we can help.
